Eberz: Zo Speel ik Viool 1 (Eberz: This Is How I Play Violin 1) is the first part of Carmen Eberz' Dutch violin method for young children. The method combines a playful presentation with a clear technical structure, so that beginning violinists actively learn to listen, read, and play from the very first lessons.

The book is divided into three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the open strings, with student and teacher playing many duets together. Then, the fingers are introduced one by one on the D-string, followed by an initial introduction to the other strings. Sing-along songs help to develop aural skills and better recognize the correct pitch.

In the third chapter, left-hand and bowing techniques come together, and the playing repertoire gradually becomes more challenging.
