Following the exceptionally successful book Moments of Swing, there is now also Moments of Latin, featuring ten songs in Brazilian and Caribbean styles, such as bossa nova, samba, calypso, and merengue. They are based on chord progressions from the common real-book repertoire. In addition to the new adventurous melodies, the original themes of the pieces also generally fit over the accompaniments on the CD. The solo parts are designed to sound like real improvisations, but chord symbols have been added so that you can also improvise yourself. On the CD, in addition to the live-recorded demo and play-along tracks, you will find the combo parts in PDF format – ready to print.
