Partly because of this, there is an abundance of study material, usually in the form of vocalises. Originally, vocalises were intended as vocal study material. However, they are also particularly suitable for brass players. Frits Damrow selected twenty vocalises by the well-known singing teacher and singer Ferdinand Sieber. He carefully compiled them into this collection and arranged them for trumpet. On the included CD, Damrow plays them beautifully as a model. You will also find practice tracks to play along with. The piano accompaniment is included as a printable PDF on the CD. This allows you to perform these beautiful melodies with a pianist.

The 20 Vocalises written by singing master Ferdinand Sieber were chosen, arranged and recorded for this edition by the solo trumpeter Frits Damrow. The pieces focus on the - often neglected - middle and lower register. The book is a sequel to Bel Canto for Brass, another "vocalise" method offering suitable exercises for breathing, sound quality, intonation and endurance.
