Galliano: Tango pour Claude (Accordion Ensemble)
The accordionist Richard Galliano wrote the work Vie Violence (Tango pour Claude) in 1993 for the French chansonnier Claude Nougaro, from whom he learned a great deal. In 1970s Paris, Nougaro gave him the opportunity to develop musically. Years later, Galliano played Tango pour Claude as a final farewell to his good friend Nougaro (1929-2004). This piece marked Galliano's breakthrough – both with the general public and with so-called connoisseurs.
