Hear, Read & Play: The Most Beautiful Classics (Flute)

Hearing, Reading & Playing is now the standard in wind music education. This appealing beginner's method (book with CD) contains songs, puzzles and games to help students understand music, information about the instrument, and especially many pieces that are fun to play. The three parts of the method that form the basis of the series are supplemented by various books with extra material that corresponds to the progress in the method.

In The Most Beautiful Classics, the melodies are arranged in ascending order of difficulty: the book can be used in conjunction with all three parts of the Hearing, Reading & Playing series. Students embark on a journey through music history and get to know the most important composers of classical music, from Tielman Susato to Antonín Dvořák; furthermore, each piece comes with a short historical explanation. This edition contains sheet music for the piano accompaniments, which have been skillfully arranged for somewhat advanced players, but recorded versions are also available online – to stream or download.
