The Kangaba KKKM11 is a Kenkeni from the West African dundun family, traditionally made in Mali. The cylindrical boumou wood shell is strung on both sides with natural cowhide for a focused, sustaining bass tone.
As the smallest drum within a typical dundun set, the Kenkeni often plays a clear and repetitive rhythmic pattern. The pre-stretched rope ensures even tension on both heads.
