The NUX Mighty Plug Pro MP-3 is a compact headphone amplifier for electric guitar, bass guitar, and electro-acoustic guitar. Connect the device directly to your instrument, plug in headphones, and practice with realistic amp models, cabinet simulations, and effects without using a traditional amplifier.
NUX's TS/AC-HD White-Box technology not only emulates the sound but also the dynamics and response of real amplifier circuits. This ensures that the models react naturally to your attack, the instrument's volume, and various playing techniques.
Complete Effects Chain with Free Order
The Mighty Plug Pro features nine freely assignable effects blocks: Gate, Compressor, Effect, Amp, IR, EQ, Modulation, Delay, and Reverb. Via the MightyAmp app or Mighty Editor software, you can adjust the order of these blocks and precisely set all parameters.
The built-in collection includes over forty effects, such as overdrive, distortion, compression, modulation, delay, and stereo reverb. Your settings can be saved in seven presets. The Active function allows you to determine which presets are cycled through with the button on the device.
Cabinet and Acoustic Simulations with IR Technology
For convincing speaker reproduction, the MP-3 uses Impulse Responses with a resolution of 512 samples. There are 36 high-quality IRs built-in for guitar, bass, and acoustic applications.
Additionally, eighteen memory slots are available for external IR files. Via Mighty Editor, WAV format IR files can be loaded and automatically converted to the correct format. With the acoustic IRs, you can also give an electric guitar an acoustic character.
Bluetooth and App Control
Via Bluetooth, you can play music, practice tracks, and other audio files from a smartphone or tablet. This allows you to easily play along with your favorite songs. The Bluetooth connection is also used for control with the free MightyAmp app for iOS and Android.
For extensive management on a computer, Mighty Editor is available for Windows and macOS. This allows you to manage presets, move effects blocks, adjust parameters, and load external IRs.
USB Audio Interface for Recording and Streaming
The USB-C connection transforms the Mighty Plug Pro into a compact audio interface with a resolution of 32-bit/48 kHz. The device supports various USB routings, including Normal, Dry Out, Re-amp, and Loopback.
With Dry Out, you record the unprocessed instrument signal, allowing it to be routed through a digital amplifier or effects chain later. Loopback combines the instrument signal with audio from a computer or mobile device, making it suitable for live streams, online lessons, and video recordings.
Suitable for Silent Practice
The high-quality headphone output supports both standard stereo headphones and a TRRS headset with a microphone. Separate volume controls allow quick adjustment of the listening volume. Thanks to the system latency of just 1.2 milliseconds, the playing response remains immediate and natural.
The built-in rechargeable battery provides approximately five hours of playing time. Charging is done via USB-C. Weighing only 70 grams, the Mighty Plug Pro is easy to take to rehearsals, lessons, or while traveling.
