Warm overdrive with a tube-like character
The NUX NOD-2 Tube Man MKII is a compact overdrive pedal that emulates the dynamic character of an overdriven tube amplifier. The pedal delivers a warm, musical drive with rich overtones, robust midrange, and enough clarity to remain audible in a dense band mix.
Use the Tube Man MKII as a subtle boost for a clean amplifier, as an additional gain stage for your existing overdrive, or as a standalone drive for blues, rock, and expressive solos.
Natural response thanks to FET technology
Instead of exclusively traditional diode clipping, the Tube Man MKII uses a FET transistor circuit. This technique provides a finer overdrive and a natural response reminiscent of a tube amplifier.
The sound responds well to your picking dynamics and your guitar's volume knob. Play softly, and the sound remains relatively clean; with a heavier attack, more distortion and harmonic overtones emerge.
More gain for rhythm and solo
The Tube Man MKII offers a wider gain range than many classic overdrive circuits. At lower Drive settings, you get a warm boost and light crunch. Higher settings deliver more sustain and a fuller overdrive for powerful rhythm parts and singing solos.
Clear controls
With the three controls, you can easily adjust the pedal. Drive determines the amount of overdrive, Tone controls the treble, and Level sets the output volume. This allows you to quickly find a suitable sound for your guitar, amplifier, and playing style.
Compact and suitable for any pedalboard
Thanks to its compact metal housing, the NUX Tube Man MKII takes up little space on your pedalboard. The true-bypass switching ensures that your original signal is preserved when the effect is off.
The pedal is powered by a standard 9V DC adapter with a negative center pin. A power adapter is not included as standard.
