Piazzolla: Zita (Accordion Ensemble)
Zita is the second movement of Suite Troileana, an inspiring work that Piazzolla wrote in 1975 following the death of the bandoneon player, tango musician, and composer Aníbal Troilo – who was his mentor at the beginning of his career. Suite Troileana is playful in character but also has a touching and melancholic side. Both moods can be found in Zita, the movement arranged by Marc Belder especially for accordion orchestra.
