In the Japanese city of Ichikawa City, the home of Satoshi Yagisawa, seven school orchestras hold a joint concert every year around Christmas. With so many participants, it was very important to the composer to orchestrate a work in which everyone could participate. Thus, Yagisawa composed the piece with great care, adding a choral part. In this way, all the students were able to take part in the performance. This revised version can be performed both with and without a choir.
