The heart of the V7 X: the new DMC7 X capsule
The brand-new custom-made DMC7 X capsule offers the same technologies and features as its brother within the V7, including the innovative, specialized aluminum voice coil. While the V7 is optimized for vocals, the capsule in the V7 X is specially tuned for instrumental use. The higher frequency range is smooth and balanced, capturing every nuance of the player, while the reduced resonance and the deep, extended low-frequency response enable a complete spectrum of instruments: 4x12 guitar amplifiers, toms, snare drums, wind instruments, barrel organs, or any other instrument will come through loud, natural, and clear.
The supercardioid pattern of this advanced capsule also helps to isolate your instruments from other sound sources on stage; this efficiently reduces stage noise and provides an abundance of gain before feedback. The superior off-axis rejection also makes the V7 X ideal for capturing snare drums, toms, or hi-hats with minimal signal spill.
Proven neodymium magnets, strict manufacturing tolerances, and high craftsmanship ensure excellent sensitivity, high-quality sound, and superior consistency.
Unique, patented integrated capsule suspension
The V7 X's advanced internal capsule suspension efficiently decouples the capsule from mechanical vibrations, isolating it from shocks and bumps and providing exceptionally low noise and handling noise compared to other microphones in its class.
All-metal housing & beveled spring steel grille
The robust design of the V7 X is entirely metal; no plastic parts here. The high-quality, highly durable zinc alloy of the chassis is designed to withstand years of stress on stage, and the spring steel mesh grille is dent-proof and corrosion-free for perfect reliability. The beveled edge around the grille also prevents the V7 X from rolling when placed on an amplifier or the stage floor.
Internal windscreen
The red internal windscreen efficiently reduces unwanted wind noise; and if you prefer a visually more subtle black windscreen, we have also included one as a standard accessory.
Gold-plated XLR connector
