Modern Jazz Bass with Heritage-3 Preamp
The Sire Marcus Miller V7 New Gen is the updated version of the bass that made Sire famous. Its North American alder body provides an open, balanced fundamental tone with a tight attack and a clearly defined low end. The New Gen version has been updated in numerous ways: a revised neck profile, stainless steel frets, and lighter hardware for improved balance on the strap.
Edgeless™ Neck with Stainless Steel Frets
The neck features the new C-profile with Edgeless™ rounded fretboard edges, allowing the hand to glide smoothly without sharp transitions. With a 34-inch scale length and a 9.5-inch fretboard radius, the bass feels familiar, while the 2.4mm stainless steel frets show minimal wear and allow for smooth bending.
Marcus Heritage-3 with Mid-Frequency Control
The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups are amplified by the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp. In addition to treble and bass, it features a mid-control with adjustable mid-frequency, allowing you to shape the bass from a classic transparent jazz sound to a full, present midrange. The bass control functions as a push-pull switch: pulling it out sets the bass to passive mode, allowing you to continue playing without a battery.
