With this dreamy composition, Frisian Sjoerd van der Wal wrote a declaration of love to Friesland. He did not use Frisian folk songs, but rather tried to capture the character and atmosphere of his native region. Van der Wal, who has written extensively for the accordion, also incorporated his second great love, jazz, into this composition.
