SX BJ305TK 5-string openback banjo natural

Open-back banjo for old-time and clawhammer

The SX BJ305TK is a five-string banjo without a resonator. That open back makes the instrument lighter and gives a warmer, softer sound than a closed resonator banjo — exactly what old-time, clawhammer, and frailing demand.

The Remo head ensures a clear attack, while the open construction allows the sound to resonate against the body. The low weight makes long playing comfortable.

Pleasant entry-level instrument

With its nato wood neck and rosewood fingerboard, this is an accessible instrument for anyone who wants to learn to play the banjo in the traditional style.
