Tenor Banjo with Aluminum Pot
The SX BJ564 is a four-string tenor banjo built around an 11-inch aluminum pot. The aluminum provides more projection and a brighter sound than a wooden pot — meaning the banjo will cut through well in an ensemble.
The Remo Fiberskyn head delivers a crisp, dynamic tone with plenty of definition. With thirty tension brackets, the head can be precisely tensioned to bring out the full sound of the Fiberskyn head.
Finish and Playability
The resonator features 5A flamed okoume veneer with maple binding and is hand-polished to a high-gloss finish. The nato wood neck has a rosewood fingerboard with maple star inlays; the frets are rounded for a comfortable feel on the neck edges. A bone nut and a maple bridge with ebony cap contribute to tone and sustain.
The banjo comes in a padded denim gig bag.
