Guitar Banjo with Aluminum Pot
The SX BJ566 is tuned like a guitar (E-A-D-G-B-E) but sounds like a banjo. For guitarists, this is the quickest way to get that banjo sound: your fingerings and tuning remain the same.
The 11-inch aluminum pot provides plenty of projection and clarity, while the Remo Fiberskyn head ensures a dynamic, crisp tone. Thirty tension brackets allow you to precisely adjust the head tension.
Finish and Playability
The resonator is finished with 5A flamed okoumé veneer and maple binding, hand-polished to a high gloss. The nato wood neck has a rosewood fretboard with maple star inlays, rounded frets, and a nut width of 44 mm — a familiar width for guitarists. The 80/20 bronze strings emphasize its acoustic character.
The banjo comes in a padded denim gig bag.
