All-solid F-style mandolin
The SX SMF840VS is a richly appointed F-style mandolin with an all-solid body. The solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides combine to produce a clear, powerful sound with warmth, definition, and an immediate response.
The carved and arched top and back support the instrument's projection. This ensures that both fast melodic lines and rhythmic chord progressions remain clearly audible. The characteristic F-style body and matte Vintage Sunburst finish give the mandolin a traditional appearance.
Comfortable and precise playability
The mahogany neck features a rosewood fretboard and a dual-action truss rod, allowing for precise adjustment of the neck's relief. The fretboard has 29 nickel frets and is finished with mother-of-pearl position markers.
The bone nut, rosewood bridge, and medium phosphor-bronze strings contribute to a bright attack and good tone transfer. Thanks to the F-style tuning machines with an 18:1 gear ratio, you can accurately tune the instrument.
Classic details and protective gig bag
The white binding, black-and-white purfling, and mother-of-pearl decorations on the headstock give the SMF840VS a refined look. The chrome-plated tailpiece provides a stylish contrast to the warm Vintage Sunburst color.
The mandolin comes with a padded denim gig bag. This allows you to safely transport the instrument to music lessons, rehearsals, jam sessions, or performances.
