The Hot-Rod Plexi pedal is inspired by vintage amplifiers with the same nickname. While these pedals are known to sound best at ear-bleeding levels, this pedal can painlessly transform your existing amp without having to move a muscle or do the obligatory cranking of the rig. With the Hot-Rod Plexi you can completely change the personality of a clean amp sound or use it as an instant mod for a bad amp.

In Stock mode it's like having the signal path from the input jack to the speaker jack (without the speaker emulation) of a stock '68 Plexi. Hot turns on an additional “12AX7” preamp gain stage. With its own level control, the Hot Rod can generate a preamp boost of up to 28 dB – a pretty insane amount of gain.

Operates with 9V alkaline battery (not included) or optional DC power supply (Tech 21 Model #DC2, DC4-A or DC9).
