This work was commissioned by the Eurofestival. Since ancient times, humans have been fascinated by the lion. This impressive animal represents courage, strength, and control: there are countless coats of arms and blazons with the lion as their symbol. In five movements, the composer portrays both the history of the lion throughout the ages and the characteristics of the king of beasts. A wonderful idea to describe such a subject in music! The final movement, 'King of Kings', is undoubtedly spectacular. An excellent choice for a thematic concert, or as the main work of a concert or competition.
