Wieniawski: Legende Cw Op. 17 Complete Works Volume 5 (Orkest en Viool)

Légende is one of Wieniawski's most popular works and a fine example of the nineteenth-century instrumental lyrical piece. Its simple form, expressive melody, rich violin sonorities, and clear yet varied harmony make it both accessible and deeply emotional. A typical pi?ce de salon, it shares many stylistic features with works by violin virtuosi such as Vieuxtemps, Léonard, and Ernst.
