Informatie
Alfred's Basic Piano Library – Lesson Book Level 3 is the Dutch-language continuation for young pianists who have completed Level 2. In this volume, technique, note reading, and music theory are further expanded, enabling students to play more independently and with greater refinement.
New topics include time signatures 3/8 and 6/8, sixths, and primary triads in major and minor keys. Major scales in contrary motion, chromaticism, and new finger techniques are also covered. The lesson material is consistently linked to practical pieces, ensuring that theory and piano playing remain naturally connected.
The repertoire includes well-known and appealing melodies such as Scarborough Fair, Greensleeves, Waltz Pantomime, Hunting Song, Alpine Melody, A Day in Vienna, and The Major and the Minor. This allows students to immediately apply their newly acquired skills in music of various characters and styles.
This piano lesson method was developed by Willard A. Palmer, Morton Manus, and Amanda Vick Lethco and is part of the internationally renowned Alfred's Basic Piano Library. This Dutch edition is published by Broekmans & Van Poppel.
