The Band Time series includes a number of books featuring simple ensemble pieces for youth orchestras. Band Time Christmas is intended for the first year of instruction and contains four-part arrangements of well-known international Christmas carols. The difficulty level runs parallel to the first volume of the Essential Elements method. The first five arrangements increase in difficulty, comparable to lessons 6 through 9. They can therefore be performed during the Christmas season of the first year of study. Band Time is suitable for various instrumentations (concert band, fanfare, and brass band), provided that you distribute the parts in a smart way. Two parts are printed in the booklets for trombone and baritone/euphonium/bass clarinet to ensure the correct part distribution for four-part harmony or when there is a limited number of bass instruments. A CD is available for the series, allowing students to play along with a real orchestra at home. This guarantees results in no time!
