Hear, Read & Play – the most comprehensive method for wind instruments – has been released for thirteen different instruments in three volumes, suitable for both group and individual lessons. This successful method is compiled according to contemporary standards and requirements of music education and the associated examinations. In all three volumes, Dr. Checkup is the whimsical guide who constantly accompanies students with useful information and tips. In volume 3, he is joined by Theodor Tonleiter.

Volume 1 covers note values up to eighths within a limited range, as well as several accidentals. Additionally, attention is paid to the most important alternate fingerings. The history of the instrument is described on a special page with beautiful illustrations.

In volume 2, in addition to a rhythmic expansion to sixteenth notes and the introduction to the 6/8 time signature, a chromatic pitch expansion is on the program.
