Arkansas has several nicknames. For example, The Natural State, but also The Land of Opportunity, refer to this state. After Dakota, Oregon, and Virginia, Jacob de Haan once again adds a title to his series about American states with the concert work Arkansas. It is a three-movement suite, based on a well-known folk song from this region.
