In Concerto d’Amore, three different styles are combined: baroque, pop, and jazz. The maestoso introduction to the composition sounds like a baroque overture. This is followed by an energetic pop-style section, which leads into an adagio. A motif from this adagio is then heard in a swinging passage, after which the piece concludes with the return of the adagio in a new guise.
