This work is named after a Turkish word for landscape: Manzara. The music portrays the peat marshland in Rhineland-Palatinate, which has gradually been transformed into a wild landscape by peat extraction. Various musical elements, such as fugues, rhythmic motifs, and beautiful melodic themes, describe different aspects of the developments in this region. An immersive and challenging concert or competition piece!
