Warm vintage jazz tone
These tape wound bass strings feature a nylon winding over a steel core. The smooth surface makes them ideally suited for fretless basses, as they protect the fingerboard. The sound is warm and deep with long sustain — the round vintage jazz tone that bassists like Ron Carter are known for. They also perform well on an acoustic bass guitar.
Single high C-string (.029) with black nylon tape, to expand a set to six strings.
