Mozart: Symphony No 35 KV 385 (Accordion Ensemble)
Many symphonies last more than forty minutes, which is quite long for non-professional players and their audience. That is why Mozart's Haffner Symphony was chosen; the entire work lasts only about thirty minutes. The arrangement is based on the fundamental principle that nothing is added or removed, and that each part takes a fixed position within the accordion orchestra. Assigning an instrument or group of instruments from the original score to each accordion makes it easier to manage the registration of the accordions. Only here and there has it been necessary to adjust the voicings.
