The first edition in the new series Flexible String Trios, conceived by Nico Dezaire, was printed and made available at the very end of 2014. For string ensembles that play in various configurations, this series offers an ingenious solution: the score contains 3 parts, each of which can be played by violin, viola, or cello. This means that the pieces can be played in any combination of string instruments, depending on the available musicians. In addition to the score, each set contains 9 individual parts (each part for 3 instruments). Furthermore, each part can be played by multiple instruments to expand the trio into a larger string ensemble!
