Compact boost pedal with two different sound modes
The NUX NFB-2 Lacerate is a compact FET boost pedal that easily increases your guitar's output level and dynamics. Thanks to its Dual FET circuit, the pedal responds naturally to your playing and delivers a tube-like sound character.
With one control knob and two boost modes, operation remains clear. This makes the Lacerate suitable as a transparent volume boost, but also for driving an amplifier or overdrive pedal harder.
Clean Boost for transparent volume increase
In Clean mode, the Lacerate increases the volume without noticeably changing the original sound of your guitar. This mode is ideal for solos, dynamic passages, or situations where you need more output level without additional distortion.
Due to the ample headroom, chords remain clear and the dynamics of your playing are well preserved.
Crank Boost with up to 35 dB gain
Hold the footswitch for about one second to activate Crank mode. In this mode, a second FET stage is engaged, creating a fuller boost with additional harmonics and a slightly overdriven character.
Crank mode delivers up to 35 dB of boost. This allows you to powerfully drive a tube amplifier or give an existing overdrive sound extra volume, compression, and saturation.
Internal 18V operation for extra headroom
The built-in voltage doubler internally converts the connected 9V power supply to 18V. This ensures more headroom, a larger dynamic range, and a powerful response. Only connect a suitable 9V DC power supply with negative center.
True bypass and buffered bypass
The NUX Lacerate supports both true bypass and buffered bypass. With true bypass, the pedal is completely outside the signal path when switched off. The buffer mode helps prevent signal loss with long cables or extensive pedalboards.
The bypass mode can be changed by holding down the footswitch while connecting the power supply.
