The white NUX NPK-20 is a versatile digital stage piano for home use, music lessons, rehearsals, recordings, and live performances. The instrument combines a realistic weighted keyboard with 271 sounds, automatic accompaniment, professional effects, and extensive connectivity options.

Thanks to its slim design and a weight of 12.2 kilograms, the piano is easier to transport than a traditional digital home piano. The built-in speakers also make it possible to practice and perform without external amplification.

88 weighted keys with triple sensors

The NUX WKJ-03 keyboard consists of 88 weighted keys with graded hammer action. The resistance ranges from heavier in the low register to lighter in the high register, similar to an acoustic grand piano.

Three sensors per key accurately register quickly repeated notes. Escapement and synthetic ebony and ivory key surfaces contribute to a controlled and natural playing feel. The touch sensitivity is adjustable in five levels.

Expressive sound of a German concert grand piano

The main piano sound is based on samples of a nine-foot German concert grand piano. This allows the sound to react expressively to different touch strengths and playing techniques.

A total of 271 sounds are available, divided into seven groups. In addition to acoustic and electric pianos, the instrument includes organs, strings, guitars, synthesizers, and orchestral sounds.

Layer and Split Functions

The Layer function allows you to play two sounds simultaneously across the entire keyboard. For example, a piano sound can be combined with strings or an atmospheric pad.

With Split, the keyboard is divided into two separate zones. A separate sound and octave setting can be chosen for each zone. The balance and split point can be adjusted as desired.

Automatic accompaniment with one hundred styles

The NPK-20 features one hundred accompaniment styles. The automatic accompaniment responds to the chords you play with your left hand and adds suitable drums, bass lines, and other instruments.

Available functions include automatic chord recognition, single- and multifinger operation, synchronized start, A and B variations, and separate intros and endings. Without automatic chords, the accompaniment section can be used as a drum machine.

Professional effects and nine-band equalizer

The built-in effects section includes reverb, compressor, chorus, and delay. Four types of reverb and four compressor settings are available, several parameters of which can be adjusted separately.

With the nine-band equalizer, you can tune the sound to the room, the built-in speakers, headphones, or an external sound system. Seven user memories are available to store favorite sounds and settings.

Microphone input for vocals and live performances

The combined XLR and 6.35mm microphone input is suitable for a dynamic microphone. The microphone signal has separate settings for gain, volume, and reverb.

This allows a singer or singer-songwriter to amplify vocals and piano playing through the same instrument. This makes the NPK-20 suitable for small performances, rehearsals, and live streams.

Bluetooth Audio and MIDI

Via Bluetooth Audio, you can wirelessly play music from a phone or tablet through the built-in speakers. This is useful for playing along with background music or practice tracks.

Bluetooth MIDI enables a wireless connection to educational music apps. The NPK-20 supports, among others, NUX's Piano Mate app and compatible apps from other developers.

Recording, practicing, and silent playing

The internal recorder can store five of your own performances. In addition, the piano features one hundred demo songs and a metronome with various time signatures, sounds, and an adjustable tempo from 20 to 280 bpm.

Two headphone jacks allow for silent practice. Via the aux input, line outputs, and USB-MIDI, the piano can also be easily connected to mobile devices, computers, mixers, and active speakers.
