NUX NTK-49 USB-MIDI Keyboard Controller

The NUX NTK-49 is a versatile MIDI controller for producers, composers, keyboardists, and live performers. The keyboard features 49 full-sized, semi-weighted keys with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch. This allows you to play virtual instruments dynamically and expressively.

With nine assignable faders, eight rotary knobs, extensive transport controls, and a built-in touchpad, you can control a large part of your production directly from the keyboard. The controller is powered via USB and therefore does not require a separate power adapter.

Semi-weighted keys with aftertouch

The 49 full-sized keys combine a semi-weighted feel with adjustable velocity sensitivity. Nine different velocity curves are available. The key response can also be fixed at a MIDI value of 64 or 127.

Aftertouch sends an additional expressive MIDI signal after striking a key. This can be linked, for example, to modulation, filter, vibrato, volume, or other parameters of a virtual instrument.

Nine faders and eight rotary knobs

The nine faders and eight rotary knobs can send MIDI CC commands. These control channel volumes, panorama, effect parameters, filters, and automation, among other things.

Custom controller layouts can be stored in sixteen user scenes. This allows you to quickly recall a suitable configuration for different software instruments, plugins, and projects.

Direct DAW control

The transport section allows you to control important recording functions without constantly reaching for the computer mouse. Available commands include play, record, stop, rewind, fast forward, loop, and reading and writing automation.

The NTK-49 supports various DAW configurations and communication via Mackie Control, HUI, and MIDI CC. Eight DAW presets and one user configuration are available.

Built-in touchpad

The integrated touchpad functions as a computer mouse. This allows you to select tracks, control plugins, and navigate through projects without using a separate mouse.

The five-way encoder offers additional functions for zooming, track selection, and cursor control, among other things.

Creative playing functions

The built-in arpeggiator offers seven different patterns for creating rhythmic note sequences. Smart Scale helps to stay within a selected scale and offers a choice of sixteen scales.

Furthermore, the controller features chord memory, transposition, and octave shifting. Separate pitch bend and modulation wheels offer direct expressive control during playing.

USB and traditional MIDI

Via USB, you connect the NTK-49 directly to a Windows or Mac computer. The connection handles both MIDI communication and power for the keyboard.

The five-pin MIDI output also allows you to control synthesizers, sound modules, and other external MIDI equipment. A suitable sustain pedal can be connected to the sustain input.

Software included

Cubase 13 LE is included, allowing you to immediately record, arrange, and mix music. With the NUX NTK Editor for Windows and macOS, you can customize the functions of the controls and manage your own user scenes.
