NUX NOD-3 Overdrive Pedal Morning Star Overdrive

At lower Drive settings, the Morning Star provides a subtle edge to a clean amplifier. Turn up the overdrive further, and you get a fuller crunch that is excellent for blues, classic rock, and expressive solos.

Extra clarity with Shine mode

A special feature is the built-in Shine mode. By holding down the footswitch, you activate an extra accent in the high frequencies. This gives your guitar sound more clarity and presence, allowing riffs and solos to cut through the band mix more easily.

Simple and musical controls

With the three controls, you can quickly dial in your desired overdrive sound. Drive determines the amount of distortion, Tone regulates the balance between a warm and bright sound, and Level determines the output volume.

The Morning Star responds well to your attack and the volume knob of your guitar. This allows you to switch between an almost clean sound and a heavier overdrive during playing without constantly having to adjust settings.

True bypass or buffered bypass

Depending on your pedalboard, you can choose between true bypass and buffered bypass. True bypass allows the signal to pass directly through when the effect is off. The buffer option can help reduce signal loss with longer cables or an extensive effects chain.

Thanks to its compact size, the NUX Morning Star takes up little space on your pedalboard. The pedal works with a standard 9V DC power adapter with a negative center pole.
