This work was commissioned by the Miyazaki Prefectural Police Band from Miyazaki, located on the Japanese island of Kyushu. Sano, the band's musical director, is a graduate of the Musashino Academia Musicae, where Satoshi Yagisawa also studied. He asked Yagisawa to write an exciting fanfare of about one minute. As conductor Sano is a renowned brass player, Yagisawa has fully utilized the sonorous sounds of the brass instruments. Fanfare Exuberante can serve as an opening piece for any concert.
