The sE Electronics sE2200 is a professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone, designed for vocal and instrument recordings where clarity, depth, and reliability are essential. Built around a hand-crafted 1” true condenser capsule, it delivers a detailed and balanced sound with excellent transient response and low-noise performance.
Despite its cardioid design, the sE2200 utilizes dual gold-sputtered diaphragms to achieve superior acoustic accuracy. Its true externally polarized capsule ensures high sensitivity and consistent performance, making it a strong choice for studio vocals, acoustic instruments, and close-miking applications.
The traditional Class-A circuit, built entirely with discrete components, avoids integrated circuits to preserve signal integrity and musical character. Paired with a custom-built output transformer, the sE2200 provides a rich, full sound with added depth, reminiscent of classic studio microphones.
With switchable -10 dB and -20 dB pads, the microphone can easily handle high SPL sources such as guitar amplifiers, brass instruments, and drums. Two selectable low-cut filters at 80 Hz and 160 Hz help control rumble and proximity effect, making it adaptable to a wide range of recording situations.
The robust all-metal housing provides excellent shielding against interference, while the gold-plated XLR connector ensures a stable and reliable connection. Supplied with sE’s Isolation Pack, including a shockmount and integrated pop filter, the sE2200 is a complete and reliable solution for professional recording setups.
