Playing with Chords - Part 1
There are many compositions for keyboard instruments – and the piano or keyboard is not always the solo instrument. Especially in pop and jazz, the keyboard player often plays an important role in the accompaniment. Unlike in classical music, chords are usually not written out, but are indicated by chord symbols above the staff.
Playing with Chords helps the keyboard player (on piano, keyboard, or synthesizer) to create rhythmically engaging accompaniments based on chord progressions. Both parts include a CD with examples of all chord progressions and listening exercises. Part 1 contains three ready-to-play ensemble pieces arranged for various settings; Part 2 is a logical continuation. Playing with Chords: a method born from practice!
