The body is made of basswood and is combined with a bolted-on Canadian maple neck. The satin neck finish feels smooth during playing. The engineered rosewood fretboard features 21 nickel frets and white position markers.

With a scale length of 864 mm, the BD2 has the same string length as most full-size electric bass guitars. The open tuning machines, chrome toploader bridge, and two-way adjustable truss rod complete the practical equipment.
