SX SEL6CTBK archtop electric guitar

SX SEL6CTBK Archtop Electric Guitar – Transparent Black

Modern archtop with classic lines. The SX SEL6CTBK is an electric archtop guitar that combines a traditional hollowbody design with a modern Transparent Black finish. The flamed okoume body remains subtly visible through the transparent lacquer, while the white multi-ply binding and tortoiseshell pickguard provide a stylish contrast.

The elegant f-holes and pearloid split-block inlays emphasize the guitar's classic character. The matte finish makes the instrument feel pleasant and natural, without losing sight of the striking wood grain.

Warm humbuckers with extensive tone control

Two Alnico 5 humbuckers provide a full, warm tone with sufficient definition. This makes the SEL6CTBK suitable for jazz and blues, but also for pop, soul, and rock. The humbuckers reduce unwanted hum and deliver a powerful, round sound, both clean and overdriven.

Both pickups have their own volume and tone controls. The three-position switch allows you to choose between the neck and bridge pickups or a combination of both. The additional six-position Varitone offers extra tonal colors, allowing you to quickly adapt the frequency character to different music styles.

Comfortable neck and compact scale length

The okoume neck is glued to the body and features a rosewood fingerboard. The 625 mm scale length feels slightly more compact than that of many traditional solidbody guitars. In combination with the 305 mm fretboard radius and 22 medium frets, this provides a comfortable playing feel for chords, melodic lines, and solos.

A two-way adjustable truss rod allows for precise adjustment. The sealed tuning machines with a 1:15 gear ratio support stable and accurate tuning.
